Bio

One day, in a moment of academic frustration, I decided to abandon my pursuit of a physics degree and to embark on a life long dream. That dream was to go to sea. That is how I have come to find myself here in rural Traverse City, at a maritime academy on Lake Michigan. The metropolitan comforts and cultures of Seattle are long gone for me, and I find myself surrounded by country music, small town life, and above all snow. I thought that it might be interesting to share some of my experiences along this journey down the rabbit hole, because to be honest I do believe that I passed Alice a long time ago.
